Stryke Force had a fantastic time competing this past weekend! The team ended qualification matches with a 10-2-0 record and were ranked in second place. However, once alliance selections started, the number one alliance captain, Team 2054 Tech Vikes, chose Stryke Force as their first pick. We happily accepted and joined the number one alliance. After quickly strategizing with our new alliance partner, they chose Team 5610 Turbulence and our alternate Team 5501 Bobcats to round out our alliance. Throughout playoffs we remained undefeated and ended up winning the competition and bringing home a blue banner!

Not only did Stryke Force end the weekend with a 13-2-0 record, we were also awarded the Autonomous Award. This award recognizes a team that has demonstrated a consistent, reliable, high-performance robot operation during autonomously managed actions. This weekend Stryke Force found success both on and off the field. At opening ceremonies on Saturday, Stryke Force freshman, Caitlin P. sang the national anthem along side Elizabeth from Team 3620, The Average Joes. Additionally, our head software mentor, Marisa Witcpalek, was nominated as a Woodie Flowers finalist. This means she will move on to be judged at the state level. The Woodie Flowers award recognizes a mentor who has done an outstanding job of motivation through communication while also challenging the students to be clear and succinct in their communications. She was nominated by Stryke Force students and we could not be happier that she is being recognized for her accomplishments. In addition, two of our students, Isabel and Olivia, presented for the Impact Award, and our presentation board this year was designed and illustrated by another Stryke Force student, Natalia! We had so much fun competing this weekend and would like to thank Team 3620, The Average Joes for hosting us.

Also, if you didn't have the opportunity to see our 2024 robot, Airwave, compete this weekend, check out our robot reveal on our YouTube Channel!

We're looking forward to seeing Airwave's performance during our next competition at Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale, Michigan on March 22nd and 23rd!
