lakeview pit 2026

We started off Friday strong, winning all of our qualification matches, and ending the day ranking 2nd out of 39 teams.

Going into Saturday's competition, we knew we had to win a tough battle to climb to the top. In qualification match 59, we were pitted against 8608 Alphabots, who were currently ranked first in the competition. We fought hard and came out on top, securing us the number one position after qualification matches concluded.

alliance 1 lakeview 2026

During alliance selection, Stryke Force formed Alliance 1, adding Team 8608 Alphabots and Team 8397 Astrobots to our team. After we formed our alliance, we went straight into elimination matches. Our alliance played strong, winning the first two rounds of elimination matches, but then we were pitted against Alliance 2. They posed some challenges for our alliance, and ended up sending us to the lower bracket of the competition. However, we fought tooth and nail out of the bottom, landing us in the finals. Alliance 1 and Alliance 2 meet again for a matchup one last time.

The finals had everyone on their toes. Who would come out on top?

In the first finals match, Alliance 1 came out strong, scoring while dealing with Alliance 2's defense. However, the battle was not over yet, and Alliance 2 proved to be a tough opponent in match 2. Unfortunately, our alliance's intake broke and we were unable to keep up with the scoring capacity of Alliance 2, resulting us going to a third match. In the final match deciding the winner of the 2026 Lakeview District Event, Alliance 1 came out on top, scoring a whopping 385 points.

In the end, Alliance 1 reigned victorious. Thank you to our alliance partners, 8608 Alphabots and 8397 Astrobots for teaming up and helping us secure the victory! We cannot be more grateful for the opportunity.

industrial design award lakeview 2026

Not only did our team come home with another blue banner, we also had the honor of receiving the Industrial Design Award. This award celebrates the team whose machine demonstrates industrial design principles, striking a balance between form, function, and aesthetics, and according to the judges, we impressed them with our "surgical precision and sophistication. Through refinement, practical elegance, and well-executed redesign choices gave this machine both presence and purpose. This bot is unlikely to strike out anytime soon." We are so grateful for receiving this award.

We had a great weekend and start to the season, and we cannot thank everyone enough for supporting us along the way! Stay tuned for our next District Competition at Battle Creek March 28 & 29 and go Stryke Force!
