Student Ambassador

Each year during the off season, Stryke Force offers a unique opportunity for all of its high school students to develop their communication skills and gain confidence while helping to secure critical financial support for our teams through a student ambassador program. These student ambassadors help with discovering and onboarding new sponsors, deliver formal presentations to business professionals, and maintain relationships with existing sponsors.
Students who are up to this challenge meet with both new and existing sponsors and give them a presentation about our team and the benefits of sponsoring Stryke Force. For each presentation, one student is the "lead" of that company relationship. They communicate with our contact there to schedule the presentation with the person who will be deciding if they will sponsor Stryke Force. Then, on presentation day, a group of students presents our materials and answers questions about our team and its operations.
This year we had three students who met this challenge. So far, they have worked with thirteen companies, welcomed four new sponsors and met their goal! During the presentation, the team will explain our programs, our mission, ask for support and answer all questions. Other students who are not on the student ambassador team attend the presentation and help answer any questions. Often the team presenting also gets the amazing opportunity to tour the facilities of our prospective sponsors. Isabel, a current student ambassador says, "the student ambassador program gives me an opportunity to talk about things I really care about and am passionate about and share with our community about our awesome team.”
Everyone at Stryke Force is grateful to this amazing team that shares the Stryke Force story while generating critical operational funds for the team. The student ambassadors are essential to keeping our team running. Without them, and our sponsors, Stryke Force would not be able to provide this amazing hands-on experience to so many students, or compete in FIRST robotics competitions.
