FIRST World Championship Recap!
Stryke Force just wrapped up the 2025 season, REEFSCAPE℠ presented by Haas. Let's take a dive into how they performed at the FIRST Championship.

Stryke Force had the opportunity to compete at the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas, this past weekend. Thank you to all of the volunteers who came together to make this event possible.
This event is different from districts and states, having 8 different fields, or divisions. Qualification matches are played in each field, alliances are formed, and then they battle it out through eliminations and finals. One alliance would reign victorious for their division, and those eight division winners then battle it out in the same double elimination format to make it to the finals of the World Championship. Then the top two alliances battle it out in a best-of-three format to become the 2025 World Champions.

Stryke Force was in the Hopper Division this year. Let's learn more about how the competition went.
We started qualification matches on Thursday, with a rocky start, and ended the day with a record of 2-3-0. But matches started to shape up on Friday, where we ended qualification matches ranked 33rd with a record of 6-4-0.
On Friday night, many of our students also had the opportunity to attend RoboProm, an event designed for robotics students to be able to attend prom because many students miss their school's prom during the FIRST World Championship. Thank you again to Team 399, Eagle Robotics, for putting this event together!

Going into Saturday morning, we had alliance selections for the Hopper division. We were the first pick of the number one alliance, captained by Team 1768 Nashoba Robotics. Alliance 1 was rounded out with Team 2877 LigerBots and Team 4145 WorBots. We soared through the elimination bracket without losing a single match, to land ourselves one of the spots in the finals of the Hopper Division. Finals were nail-biting matches, with Alliance 1 taking one match and Alliance 2 taking another. It came down to the third match to decide the winner of the Hopper Division, and Alliance 1 came out on top! This meant that our alliance secured a spot on the Einstein field for the championship playoffs.

The Einstein field was the next step towards victory, and the Hopper Alliance was ready to take home the win. The first match didn't turn out as we hoped against the Galileo Alliance, which dropped us down to the lower half of the elimination bracket. In the next match, we fought long and hard to stay in the competition and ended up pulling out a win, eliminating the Archimedes Alliance. But all journeys must have their end, and in our third match against the Curie Alliance, we fell short of the victory, eliminating the Hopper Division Alliance. Even though we lost, we are proud of how hard we fought in the competition and how far our alliance got. Congratulations to the Newton Alliance, Team 1323 MadTown Robotics, Team 2910 Jack in the Bot, Team 4272 Maverick Robotics, and Team 5026 Iron Panthers for winning the Championship this year!

This marked the end of the road for Stryke Force for the regular season competitions in 2025! We are so proud of our team for all of their accomplishments this past season!
