Last weekend Stryke Force competed in the West Michigan district competition held on the beautiful campus of Grand Valley State University. We had a very successful first day and ended qualification matches on Saturday morning in 1st place out of 42 teams, with a record of 10-2-0 and a 3.17 average ranking score. This meant we would receive the opportunity to captain the number one alliance going into playoffs. We chose the Comets FRC Team 3357 and Team 5610 Turbulence as alliance partners in the playoffs, along with our reserve team 6114 Hamilton Cyberhawks. We all fought hard to win the first and second round but unfortunately were defeated in the semi-finals. While the competition did not end in our favor, two of our students had the opportunity to present our story to the judges and compete for the prestigious Impact Award. Additionally, Stryke Force's weekend ended on a "high note" as we were honored with the Excellence In Engineering award. We also secured our spot in the FIRST in Michigan State Championship, which will take place on April 4th through 6th at Saginaw Valley State University. We had lots of fun competing and would like to thank Grand Valley State University for hosting this fun event on their beautiful campus! We cannot wait to compete again and hope to see you there!
