Vex Season Recap
Overview and insights of the Vex in-house competition
Olivia E.
Each year, Stryke Force hosts an in-house competition for the Vex team, which is composed of 7th and 8th grade students working in small teams of 2–3. Each of the seven teams dedicate their season to building a robot for this year’s game, Rapid Relay, and preparing a detailed presentation to showcase their work at the end of the season. This year, the students have shown exceptional effort and dedication in both their robot builds and presentations.
The in-house competition provides a unique opportunity for the Vex students to collaborate and compete. Rather than working individually, teams partner up during matches to achieve the highest possible score. Each match features two robots working together on the field, encouraging strategic planning and teamwork. This collaborative approach fosters a supportive learning environment where students can strategize, problem-solve, and hone their skills.
Throughout the competition, each team had the chance to participate in multiple matches and work alongside every other team twice. At the end of the event, scores from all matches were tallied, and the team with the highest overall points was declared the winner.
We’re thrilled to recognize the hard work and achievements of all participants, especially those who earned awards this year:
