Stryke Force kept busy during the offseason, which was filled with many competitions, and many opportunities to win. We competed in a total of four offseason events during the months of July through October, which is an average of one competition a month. Let's take a deep dive into the details of how these competitions went!

Our first offseason competition of the season was IRI, also known as the Indiana Robotics Invitational, which we were graciously invited to compete in yet again this year. We had a strong start, winning our first two qualification matches. The rest of our qualification matches went better than others, but we managed to pull out of them ranked 21st, with a record of 4-5-0. We then were the second team picked to join Alliance 2, captained by Team 125 NUTRONs. Our alliance also was joined by Team 1706 Ratchet Rockers and 2468 Team Appreciate. We fought hard through the semifinals to get to the finals where we ultimately lost to Alliance 1. Congratulations to Team 2056 OP Robotics, 2910 Jack in the Bot, 180 S.P.A.M., and 4499 The Highlanders for their win.

kettering 2024

Our next competition was the Kettering All-Star Alliance Invitational, hosted by Kettering University. This event was set up differently than how traditional competitions are typically run. To compete in this event, teams had to pre-select their alliances before signing up for the event, which is different from other competitions where alliances form after the qualification matches. Teams were seeded depending on how the alliance performed in the qualification matches. We were joined by Team 5712 Hemlock's Gray Matter and 2075 Enigma Robotics to create our alliance, also known as "Gray Force." Our qualification matches went well, and our alliance ended up being the third seed with a record of 12-4-0. We faced some tough competition in the play-offs and ultimately lost in the finals to Aliance 1, "The Notorious RBG." Congratulations to team 27 RUSH, 33 Killer Bees, and 4362 CSPA Gems for their win.

2024 Girls Competition

In September, we competed in the Grand Rapids Girls Robotics Competition where we gave our girls on our team the opportunity to play big roles on the field and in the pits. We performed very well and ended qualification matches in the number one spot, with a record of 6-0-0. We formed our alliance with Team 3357 COMETS and 6428 STEMINEERS. We fought through the randomized round-robin elimination matches and ended up falling short to Alliance 2 and congratulations to them for their win.

wmri 2024

Finally, our last offseason competition was WMRI, also known as the West Michigan Robotics Invitational. Thank you to team 4362 CSPA Gems for collaborating with us to scout at the competition. The morning was filled with many matches, and at the end of qualification matches we were ranked number one. Stryke Force formed Alliance 1 with our partners 4362 CSPA Gems and 4855 Ramageddon. We soared through the elimination matches and ended up on top of the competition. Congratulations to our alliance for our hard work and coming home with the win!

Overall our offseason was packed with lots of competition and lots of fun. Thank you to the mentors and students who made going to these events possible and the many teams that worked with us along the way!
